TRIO Educational Opportunity Center
TRIO Educational Opportunity Center
The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is a program that helps adults further their 伊人直播. Whether that means exploring options for Adult Basic Education or High School Equivalency programs or enrolling in college, university or vocational school. The program offers assistance free of charge to economically disadvantaged adults who live in Nueces, Refugio and San Patricio Counties. In order to take advantage of the services, you have to be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
As an EOC participant, you will meet with an Educational Advisor who will work with you to create goals and an 伊人直播al roadmap to reach those goals. For example, if you want to attend college, your Educational Advisor will help you navigate the admissions and financial aid process so that you can enroll in the college of your choice. The Educational Advisor will talk with you about your skills, interests and career plans and help create the roadmap to your success. Visit Services to learn more.
The Educational Opportunity Center is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and is sponsored locally by 伊人直播 (DMC). The EOC is part of a group of programs known under the umbrella of “TRIO” programs. TRIO (coined for the first three programs started in 1972) includes Upward Bound, Talent Search and Student Support Services. All of these programs give priority to low-income, first-generation individuals who want to improve their level of 伊人直播.
